Microsoft daje lovu

Godina 2011. tek broji prve dane, a u inbox mi vec stiže gomila gluposti. Uvijek se iznenadim kako odrasli ljudi sa pozamašnim životnim iskustvom povjeruju prici iz e-maila u kojoj im se obecava zarada bez truda. Molim Vas zapamtite vec jednom da Vam niti jedna tvrtka nece dati novce za slanje mailova. Necete dobiti niti lipe, a kamoli stotine i tisuce eura. Jedino možete razljutiti gomilu prijatelja koje ste zagnjavili glupim prosljedivanjem mailova. Evo primjera koji sam primio nekoliko puta u posljednih par dana:

“Normalno ne šaljem obavijesti ove vrste, ali ova vijest dolazi od jedne jako dobre prijateljice moje prijateljice, koja je pravnica i cini se kao interesantna mogucnost. Ako ona tvrdi da funkcionira, onda i funkcionira. U svakom slucaju, ne može se ništa izgubiti.Ispricala mi je slijedece:

Ja sam pravnica i poznajem zakon. To je cinjenica. Nemojte se zavaravati, AOL i Intel drže svoja obecanja iz straha da budu dovedeni pred sud i konfrontirani s milionima, kako je Pepsi Cola nedavno ucinila sa General Electric-om. Dragi prijatelji, ne smatrajte ovo za neku glupu šalu. Bill Gates upravo brani svoje bogatstvo. Ako na to ne reagirate, može vam kasnije biti žao. Windows je još uvijek najcešce korišten program. Microsoft i AOL upravo eksperimentiraju njime pomocu e-mailom poslanog teksta (e-mail beta test).

Ako ovu poštu pošaljete prijateljima, Microsoft ce moci slijediti njezin trag dva tjedna. Svakoj osobi koja ovu obavijest pošalje, Microsoft placa 245 eura. Za svaku osobu kojoj ste ovo poslali ali i koja to dalje proslijedi, placa Vam 243 eura. Za trecu osobu u nizu, Microsoft Vam placa 241 euro. Nakon dva tjedna æe Vam se Microsoft obratiti s molbom o potvrdi poštanske adrese da bi Vam poslao cek.

Ja sam ovo smatrala prevarom, ali dva tjedna nakon što sam ovu poruku primila i poslala je dalje, zamolio me Microsoft za moju poštansku adresu i dobila sam cek na 24 800. eura. Vi morate odgovoriti prije nego što se ovaj test zavrsi. Ako netko od vas ima tu mogucnost, treba je iskoristiti.

Za Billa Gatesa su ovi troškovi za jednu natjecateljsku kampanju. Molim, pošaljite ovu poruku na onoliko ljudi koliko je to moguce. Trebalo bi da dobijete najmanje 10 000 eura. Ja ne bih prosljedivala ovu poruku dalje, ako od toga ne bih imala korist. Jedna poznanica moga oca koja se prije nekoliko mjeseci ovdje doselila, pokazala mi je, kad sam je posljednji put posjetila, njezin cek. Suma je iznosila 4 324,44 eura. Tetka jednog dobrog prijatelja, teta-Patricija koja radi za Intel, je upravo za dalje slanje ove poruke dobila cek u iznosu od 4.543,23 eura. Kao što sam kazala, ja poznajem zakon i tocno je da Intel i AOL upravo pregovaraju o jednoj fuziji koja bi ih uèinila najvecim ponudivaèem usluga na svijetu. Da bi potvrdili da je njihov program od svih najkorišteniji, provode ovaj test. Pošto sam ovim završila njemacki prijevod i poslala Vam ovu poruku, ostaje mi da vjerujem da cete je i Vi dalje proslijediti i da nije neslana šala. Ja sam probala, probajte i Vi! Sa Vaše strane nije potrebno na tekstu nista mijenjati niti dodavati. Jednostavno pritisnuti “Forward” i poslati ¹to vecem broju primatelja.

Koje li idiotarije! Dame i gospodo koji ste nasjeli ovakvi mailovi u raznim verzija kruže vec od 1999. godine! AOL i Microsoft su dvije zasebne kompanije koje definitivno ne suraduju u podjeli novaca. To su kompanije koje su najveci konkurenti na amerièkom tržištu. Isto tako niti Bill Gates nije izgubio zdravu pamet i dijeli novce naokolo.

REDMOND, Wash., May 12, 1999 – Recently an email has been circulating on the Internet about a new “email tracking system” from Microsoft.

As you may have suspected, this is a hoax and did not originate from Microsoft.

Microsoft does try to investigate the source of these hoaxes and take appropriate action. However, many times the hoaxers take elaborate steps to shield their true identities and we cannot identify them. Privacy and security are very important to us here at Microsoft, and we work every day to build great software for the Internet that keeps information safe, secure and private.

We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Izjava Bill Gatesa:

Even more annoying than spam, in some respects, are hoaxes. I’m acutely aware of this because my name was recently attached to a hoax email message that was widely distributed.

People embellished the fraudulent email over time, as it was forwarded from electronic mailbox to electronic mailbox, but an early version read this way:

“My name is Bill Gates. I have just written up an e-mail tracing program that traces everyone to whom this message is forwarded to. I am experimenting with this and I need your help. Forward this to everyone you know and if it reaches 1000 people everyone on the list will receive $1000 at my expense. Enjoy. Your friend, Bill Gates.”

The bogus message was widely forwarded, which surely led to some disappointment from people who hoped to receive $1,000 for passing along what was essentially a chain letter.

For every person that you forward this e-mail to, Microsoft will pay you $5.00, for every person that you sent it to that forwards it on, Microsoft will pay you $3.00 and for every third person that receives it, you will be paid $1.00. Within two weeks, Microsoft will contact you for your address and then send you a check. I thought this was a scam myself, but two weeks after receiving this e-mail and forwarding it on, Microsoft contacted me for my e-mail and within days, I received a check for $800.00.

Regards. Chinu! I thought this was a scam myself, but two weeks after receiving this e-mail and forwarding it on, Microsoft contacted me for my address and within days, I received a cheque for US$24,800.00. You need to respond before the beta testing is over. If anyone can afford this Bill Gates is the man. It’s all marketing expense to him. Please forward this to as many people as possible. You are bound to get at least US$10,000.00.
